Grade 2

During Week 8 of Term 2, Year 2 students had an excursion to Rippon Lea mansion as part of their Integrated Studies unit. Since the beginning of the year students have been comparing and contrasting past and present items. The program at Rippon Lea Estate examined the past through family history, children’s life, schooling and domestic life. It included students playing old fashioned games, experiencing hardships of working life in the servant’s quarters and exploring the 5.7 hectares of heritage parklands through solving the animal trail Creature Catcher.
